Can you give me a discount?

“I’m sorry, but to remain consistent and fair to the other sponsors I can’t discount, but I may be able to do a little in trade or barter”.

Occasionally you’ll be presented with the situation of bartering a small amount of the rate with store credit to justify a discount. In this case, place the trade value in the “Adjust” space on the Insertion Order and calculate into your total. This works well in two ways; one, it helps you keep your space value higher to justify the product’s value and secondly, it gives you perks to use for yourself and other clients/hotel management staff.

100% of the trade is yours to keep, however this amount will be deducted from your Commission, Bonus, or Salary. PCM may offer to purchase this trade to use as perks for the hotels ensuring your future renewals, however this trade must be pre-approved.

PCM will only consider buying your barter if:

– It is of a respected regional or national business.

– The trade has no expiration date.

– Preferably good at any location nationally.

– The trade is broken into reasonable amounts i.e., $100 broken into $20 or $25 amounts.
